We've recently expanded our selection of gorgeous Eden Cottage Yarns from the UK. Eden Cottage's yarns are essentially the work of one person, Victoria, who hand-dyes and designs multiple gorgeous lines of yarns made primarily from British wools and alpaca. Our Eden Cottage lines are mill-dyed for rich, consistent color, and are a great value.
Eden Cottage's yarns:
Whitfell DK is a 100% baby alpaca yarn that comes in 8 colors (Charcoal is arriving directly from the factory asap!). This yarn is ridiculously soft, like all alpaca yarns, with a firm twist that will keep the alpaca from being too soft to work with. It creates excellent stitch definition. The price, under $9 a ball, makes it a fantastic yarn for small projects you want to complete quickly. Here are some beautiful projects in Whitfell DK from Ravelry (click on each picture to go to the project page).
Whitfell Chunky is also 100% baby alpaca, and is a giant squish of a yarn, in both solid and marled colors. This is the softest cloud of glorious color imaginable, and will work up very quickly into beautiful projects. The price is less than $16 for a generous skein. Here are some gorgeous Whitfell Chunky projects from Ravelry (click on each picture to go to the project page).
Milburn 4-Ply is a glorious mix of British Blue-Faced Leister wool, often called "the merino of Britain" for its softness, and shiny silk. Milburn has a richness and shimmer that are hard to convey in photographs. The colors are saturated, and even the pastels have a depth that makes the yarn special. Milburn is reasonably priced at just $9.25 a ball. Below are some projects from Ravelry (click on the image for the project page) made with Milburn.
Askham 4-Ply is a super-soft mix of baby alpaca and silk, and feels like a cloud! The beauty of Askham is that the silk provides a bit of structure to the softness of the alpaca, making it ideal for many projects. At $7.50 a ball, it's an inexpensive way to bring some luxury into your stash! Here are some examples from Ravelry (click to see the project page!).
Hopefully, these projects will inspire you to try Eden Cottage's gorgeous yarns for yourself! The possibilities are endless.
