How lovely is this gorgeous shawl? The pattern is from The Chesapeake Needle, one of our favorite designers. You can find it here on Ravelry, along with my project page. The yarns are JOMA Yarns Sock-a-Rino in Cake for Breakfast, and Onion Organic Cotton in turquoise. Truthfully, this is supposed to be a two-skein shawl, but apparently, I'm unable to crochet anywhere near gauge. I mean, not even close. So after I ran out of sock yarn, I added the Organic Cotton. Haps are a particularly warm and simple shawl, usually associated with the Shetland Islands. The word Hap itself is simply Scottish for shawl or wrap. I'm all done with this beautiful shawl, and just wanted to show it off. I can't believe how beautiful it is, and I'm honestly both impressed by the pattern itself and by the yarn I used for it, both created by Jennifer at Cedar House Yarns. The Ravelry Project for my shawl is here, the pattern is here on Ravelry, and the yarns are Cedar House's Sapling Sock in Twilight, Cervidae, and Smoked Porter. We are excited to share a brand new free pattern for our beautiful Color Pop Shawl.
Color Pop is a simple, but extra warm and cosy shawl made from four skeins of customer favorite Stonehedge Fiber Mill's Shepherd's Wool. The contrasting colored tips of the shawl keep it playful, but sophisticated. The seed stitch keeps it snuggly enough for the coldest weather. This shawl is oversized, 97"x 32".
