Filcolana

Filcolana sells high quality woolen yarns for hand knitting, crochet and more. We monitor our products from start to finish, which means that we buy up the best wool and then have it spun on the best spinning mills around the world. The yarn is then dyed, wound into balls, given ball bands and shipped to our warehouse in Kjellerup, Denmark. From here it is ready to be shipped out of our retailers: the local yarn stores in Denmark as well as abroad. 

Filcolana has been in business for more than 40 years. The company was founded in 1972 by the Hald family, who ran it until 1995. The Olsen family then took over the company, and they still own Silkeborg Uldspinderi today. In 2009 Nanna Gudmand-Høyer, took over the company and now run it with the help of her talented employees and a team of resourceful freelance knitting and crochet designers.
