Pichinku

Pichinku (pee-cheen-koo, meaning "little bird" in the native Quechua language) is a social enterprise that produces 100% naturally dyed alpaca and wool yarns, lovingly made in small batches by the skilled hands of women artisans in Cusco, Peru.

Pichinku yarn is sustainable, environmentally friendly and socially conscious. No chemicals, no nonsense, just beautiful yarn!

You can read more about Pichinku's Social and Environmental Code of Conduct here, but they work hard to provide their artisans with appropriate compensation and a safe place to work, while sourcing both their wools and their dyes naturally and ethically.
