Product Description: Sock yarn in a new mixture where the yarn has the durability of nettle fiber, since it is an extremely strong fiber - which means that it is possible to knit socks in pure natural fiber, that is, without adding plastic material such as nylon. At the same time, the yarn has a very beautiful luster and is slightly gray where the nettle fiber does not accept color. Spoil yourself with pure fibers!
Weight: fingering/sock
Fairlight Fibers Notes: This fingering-weight yarn is very soft and squishy, with a heathered appearance and slight halo. It is very buttery and richly-colored. There is some disagreement on the wear-life of the nettle fiber: some folks have good luck with it lasting for years and years of wear, others find it less durable. We suggest swatching if you plan to make socks and then testing your swatch's durability, which will depend somewhat on tension, pattern, and gauge. It is an ideal yarn for all other fingering-weight projects, like shawls and hats or mittens, as it is both soft and beautifully-colored.
