Product Description: A lightweight and fluffy yarn, which also has very nice stitch definition. Nettle gives the yarn a beautiful mother of pearl appearance, as nettle fiber is naturally a light gray and does not accept the dye. Nettle also means that the yarn is very durable and thus perfect for knitting organic socks or other projects.
Weight: Aran
Fairlight Fibers Notes: This Aran weight yarn is very squishy, with a slight sheen from the nettle fiber. Like bamboo or other plant-based fibers, nettle fiber makes for a very soft, more durable yarn. Nettle fiber also does not take the dye like the wool, giving this yarn a lovely heathered effect, with occasional natural slubs of undyed fiber. This is a perfect yarn for sweaters, hats, or other Aran-weight projects. Very nice to work with, with a crisp hand that will show off your stitch pattern perfectly.
