Product Description: Ronas is Garthenor's newest yarn, a woollen spun Shetland. When sourcing the fibre for Ronas, Garthenor looked to the Shetland Isles, and have collaborated with Uradale Yarns to produce a truly Native Shetland yarn. Spun into undyed shades at New Lanark mill in Scotland, Ronas has a uniquely delicate twist, and blooms beautifully after wet blocking. Ronas excels in textured stitches as well as lace work, and can produce a beautifully even fabric in a plain stockinette, which allows the deeply heathered shades to show though.
All Garthenor's yarns are certified Organic from Sheep to Shelf.
Weight: Fingering weight
Please Note: Quantities of these yarns may be limited, due to their unique annual nature. Please plan accordingly, and contact us if you need more of a particular shade or fiber. We may be able to get more, or we may not. These yarns are all sold in 50g skeins.
Fairlight Fibers Note: Ronas is beautiful and exceptionally soft for a Shetland wool, with a creamy heathered appearance. It's a truly glorious yarn, and highly recommended!
